Programme Outlines
H1 / H2 Economics
Class Size: 4 - 6 Students
Duration: 3 Hours
The first part of the session will be on content revision. Many students find themselves in a situation where they are trying to digest over 50 pages worth of notes and expect themselves to “vomit” out the contents to score an A. However, the proper understanding of economic content is supposed to be easy and easily digestible. We will share concise content notes that are designed specially to be “exam smart”. In the content revision, we will also see include real life examples to see the relevance and will be extremely useful in scoring well for the evaluation portion.
The second part of the session will be on application. For diligent students, they may have spent time memorising all the necessary content, however, they still struggle to score an A. This boils down to the answering techniques that they lack. Despite knowing so much, they are unable to identify what are the required content to apply to the questions. Student often have the misconception where long answers=good answers. On the contrary, good economic students often write extremely short answers because they know exactly what to write hence there is no excess time wastage. In this portion of the class, Tutor will be sharing about how a top economic student thinks and breaks down each question to consistently score full marks for every single question. Students will be able to realise that scoring well in economics is not randomly based on luck but works in a very consistent and predictable manner. Application based questions will be given for both micro and macro economics.
